Details

As one of Byron Bay’s leading luxury accommodation options, The Bower sets the bar high when it comes to comfort, design and duty of care in playing their part in protecting the environment. The Bower’s signature rooms of moody sophistication feature’s dark oak cabinetry, limestone floors and custom-made rugs. Billowing linen curtains separate the main room from the ensuite bathroom with its full stone bath and separate shower/ toilet suite.

The Bower’s award-winning magnesium pool is perfect for relieving stress, soothing sore muscles. The natural minerals provide an elevated swimming experience, with softer silkier, clearer chemical-free water that is both gentle your hair and skin, as well as the environment.

The Bower, how they are helping to safe-guard the environment.

  • It starts with great design and crafting to allow the best natural airflow and maximum insulation. It results in better, natural temperature control and less need for aircon.
  • The Bower is solar powered. They have made a substantial investment in carbon off-setting the hotel with 132 solar panels generating nearly 37KW per hour during peak sunlight. In the daylight hours, they offset a significant amount of electricity preventing tonnes of carbon being released into the atmosphere. Last quarter they sent 4000kw hours back to the grid for others to use.
  • LED lighting is used to keep energy use low.
  • The Bower design team sourced as many sustainable, recycled products as possible to incorporate into their design. This has become one of the benchmarks of their signature style.
  • They support like-minded businesses whose commitment to sustainable, ethical production of their home décor products is absolute.
  • They request the environmental credentials from their suppliers.
  • They use filtered water in refillable glass jugs for guests.
  • Poolside they have installed a Zip tap and have re-useable cups for refills.
  • Where possible, they chose can options in their gourmet mini-bar rather than glass or plastic. Cans take less energy to recycle.

Byron Bay is home to some of the world’s most iconic beaches, surfing and swimming spots, ancient rainforests and hinterlands.

Lose yourself in the mesmerising landscapes of the Nightcap National Park. Hike through the UNESCO-listed rainforest, then cool off with a swim beneath the beautiful Minyon Falls. On the way home explore and dine in the deliciously, charming township of Bangalow.

Killen Falls, surrounded by foliage that drapes itself over the damp rock walls, it will have you feeling like you are in your own hidden paradise as you listen to the crashing waterfall. Stroll along the boardwalk, stopping at the viewing platform located on the top of a cliff overlooking the falls. Continue to walk down to the base of the falls and take a swim in the fresh water and feel the spray of the falls.

Kayak alongside a resident pod of bottlenose dolphins. Led by expert guides, this sea kayak adventure takes you through the calm waters of Cape Byron Marine Park then spend the afternoon laughing while leaning to surf in the world-famous Byron Bay breaks. The surf lesson is specifically designed to teach you to surf at your own pace in a relaxed environment. You will learn surfing techniques and ocean safety with qualified surf coaches and surf life savers.

Rae’s Dining Room serves modern Australian with a Mediterranean influence amongst the idyllic surrounds of Wategos beach. Executive Chef Jason Saxby and his dining team will delight you with a six-course tasting menu paired with wine to ensure you enjoy the complete Raes Dining Room experience.

Inspired by Moroccan architecture and the Greek Islands, The Mez Club is re-nouned for its beautiful styling and feel good vibe. It was designed by one of my favourite designers and suppliers Bisque Traders. Be delighted with a cocktail on arrival along with a tasting menu showcasing eight of The Mez Clubs favourite dishes.

One of my personal favourite restaurants in Byron Bay, No Bones. A vegan restaurant with flavours that will surprise and delight. Their goal for 2022 is to become 100% carbon neutral and to make sure they use 90% Australian made / grown produce and products to reduce the environmental impact. With each new seasonal menu, Executive Chef, Ben Streaker, takes time and care to ensure No Bones source as many local products as they can, both to support the incredible farmers and to guarantee they are serving the freshest, most nutritious food they can.

The Farm, Three Blue Ducks started with three mates travelling the world, cultivating ideas around a better, more sustainable approach to eating and living. Their approach, dine in, grab some fresh produce, something from the BBQ or wander the fields of the 80-acre picturesque working farm with a picnic hamper. GROW FEED EDUCATE GIVE BACK.

This escape is both energising and relaxing. It will soothe the soul and inspire a better way of living.

Flights and/or airport pick-ups can be organised as a group at no extra charge.
